The FincaLab^® Coffee Sample Roaster was originally designed and built by James Kosalos, the founder of San Cristobal Coffee Importers, to roast and cup coffees at origin. After noticing that no sample roasters could keep up with the fast pace and high volume of origin quality control cuppings while still providing a high level of precision with back to back roast, he built one himself!

These units are now fabricated in Taiwan at a state-of-the-art facility (shared by some of the coffee industry’s BEST coffee grinder manufacturers) with final assembly, testing, and calibration in Kirkland, WA, USA.

The Analytic Model 4 is simple to use and effortlessly provides precisely roasted coffee. It is useful for all roaster applications from coffee quality management to home roasting.

Designed primarily for rural coffee producers this sample roaster uses a single energy source, electricity 110V, and provides precise roasts for coffee quality management. The design also maximizes durability and minimizes the need for maintenance.

The roast volume, 200 grams, provides more than enough coffee for two cuppings with 6 cups each as well as a few extra for flavor management.  Each roast takes about 10.5 minutes to get to a medium roast level for optimum cup quality evaluation with professional standards.
